Install in Anki desktop
Create the note type, then import the examples.
- 1. Add a note type. In Tools → Manage Note Types, clone Basic and name it “Language Learning — Context First”.
- 2. Create the seven fields. Keep the exact order shown above so the starter import maps cleanly.
- 3. Paste the templates. In Cards, replace the front, back, and styling panels with the matching files.
- 4. Import the TXT file. Choose the new note type, confirm the seven-field mapping, and select a deck.
- 5. Preview before syncing. Inspect both sides in Browse, then replace or delete the examples.
The included file headers work in Anki 2.1.54 and newer. On older versions, select the tab separator and HTML option manually. See the official Anki text import guide.

Template FAQ
Is this an APKG deck?
No. It is an editable template pack and a tab-separated starter file. It contains no collection database or scheduling history.
Does it include audio or images?
No. The optional Audio and Image fields are empty, so the examples do not create broken media references.
Can I use it with AnkiMobile or AnkiDroid?
The cards use ordinary HTML, CSS, and Anki field replacements. Set up and test the note type in Anki desktop first, then sync normally.
Can I change or share it?
Yes. The included files are released under CC0 1.0, so you may modify and redistribute them without attribution.
