What the landing page collects

If you request beta access, VidToAnki stores your email address and any optional language-learning preferences or beta-fit answers you submit. The fit check itself stays in your browser until you request access. The current landing page does not accept video uploads.

Why it is collected

This information is used to manage beta invitations, understand who the beta should serve, and send relevant product updates. You can unsubscribe from those messages at any time.

Analytics and advertising

VidToAnki uses Vercel Analytics and PostHog to understand page usage. When the Reddit advertising pixel is enabled, Reddit may receive page-visit and successful-signup events so campaign performance can be measured. Analytics events may include the landing page, referring hostname, broad source category, and restricted campaign labels. This lets VidToAnki measure visits and beta requests from search engines and identifiable AI services without storing the referring page's path or query.

Events also cover explicit calls to action, guide opens, coarse scroll milestones, visible-tab engagement time, and broad outcomes from the browser-local APKG checker. APKG filenames, deck names, card content, exact deck counts, email addresses, and submitted learning preferences are not included in analytics events.

Landing attribution is retained in session storage only for the current browser tab. To estimate aggregate return usage without identifying a browser, local storage keeps only the previous UTC visit day and a capped visit count. Analytics receives coarse recency and visit-count buckets, never a stored visitor token. PostHog autocapture, session recording, persistent browser identifiers, and person profiles are disabled.

Your analytics preference

You can stop analytics and advertising events from this browser without affecting the rest of the site. The opt-out is stored locally and is not sent as an event.
